Pride in Place - September 2026 Progress Update
As one of the town's receiving Pride in Place funding, Dewsbury Neighbourhood Board is using the funding across a range of projects in Dewsbury including improved safety and security measures, cultural and community events, and the regeneration of vacant buildings.
Most current schemes are progressing through 2026, with several due to launch or complete by early 2027.

Our Work.
Town Investment Plan.
In 2020, working with Kirklees Council, we helped secure a £25m investment from the Government’s Towns Fund to provide a boost to Dewsbury’s economy and long-term prosperity.

Long-Term Plan.
We have worked with the local community to develop a long-term plan to access up to £20m investment from the Government’s Pride in Place funding.
This plan has now been submitted to the Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) for final approval in 2026.
